My Story

After earning my BSc Hons in Psychology from Lancaster University, my career trajectory shifted when I chose to pursue training as a Chartered Accountant. I successfully qualified with Smith & Williamson, named one of the world's top 10 accounting firms in 2024, where my role in the audit and accounts department granted me exposure to a diverse range of businesses. Additionally, I contributed to Smith & Williamson's North London Charity division, collaborating with esteemed organisations such as the Dulverton Trust and Getty UK.

I then moved from accountancy practice into industry with a service-based, venture-capitalist backed business.  An early highlight in my career was featuring in Who's Who of Britains Business Elite 2009 - young business leaders.  A publication which is still proudly displayed on my bookshelf today.  Whilst at the company, I progressed to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) a position on the Executive Board, responsible for Finance, HR, Payroll and IT divisions of a c. £170m turnover business.  I had the opportunity to lead initiatives involving company acquisitions, mergers, refinancing, cultural change programs, overseas related parties, and management buyouts.

After 10 years I stepped away from corporate life after welcoming my son with the aim of trying something new.  I ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing my visual branding consultancy.  Specialising in assisting owner-managed businesses with visual branding style and marketing materials.  Producing the visuals for their unique business brand and exploring their USP.  It was during this time I rediscovered my passion for understanding people, their motivations, and the intricate dynamics of their relationships.

The next chapter led me to integrate my diverse experiences and embark on a journey as a Business and Leadership coach, with Barefoot Coaching's flagship level 7 coaching program. I am deeply committed to the transformative potential of coaching in reshaping how individuals and businesses navigate today's intricate landscape.

Beyond coaching and continuous learning, I serve as a Non Executive Director at a c.£10m t/o Independent School, chairing the Finance & Resources Committee, among other responsibilities.
